We recognise the profound challenges children face when they struggle to communicate. We’re aware that speech and language barriers can significantly impact development, potentially leading to substantial difficulties in adolescence and adulthood.
Recognising the profound challenges children face when grappling with communication impediments, we’re deeply aware that untreated speech and language difficulties can precipitate significant developmental setbacks, potentially manifesting into profound challenges in later life stages. However, with prompt intervention and evidence-based therapies, such barriers can be systematically dismantled, paving the way for a child’s unbridled potential.
It’s imperative to note that each child’s communicative journey is distinctly unique. Consequently, we actively collaborate with parents, educators, and other stakeholders, equipping them with tailored strategies and resources to bolster each child’s progression towards confident communication.
We commissioned a 12 month package from Unlocking Language as part of a substantial Waiting List initiative, to support our NHS Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy Team in Liverpool. We were impressed by the well thought out offer, which included clinical supervision within a small team structure. The team arrived well prepared for the task ahead and were well supported throughout. We had regular meetings together with the local SLT Team Manager and the Unlocking Language Team integrated readily and seamlessly into the SLT department. Their work was of a high standard and all agreed targets were met. I can highly recommend Unlocking Language to anyone considering commissioning a service from them.
The service demonstrates high quality interventions with lateral thinking and has great empathy. I have no hesitation in recommending for any SALT requirements whether this is for individual's or service providers.
Unlocking Language has transformed the progress of the many pupils with speech and language needs here at the Globe Academy. Clear assessments are shared, followed by well organised group and individual sessions ran by trained therapists. All alongside training for our teachers to ensure we provide quality first teaching.
