<h2>Role &amp; Responsibilities</h2>
<p><strong>As a Locum Occupational Therapist, you will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assess, plan and deliver goal-focused OT intervention for children with sensory, motor-planning and daily-living challenges in education or home settings.</li>
<li>Write concise treatment plans, EHCP contributions and progress reports that align with RCOT and HCPC standards.</li>
<li>Liaise with parents, teachers, SENCOs and our in-house SLTs to embed strategies in everyday routines.</li>
<li>Maintain GDPR-compliant records and safeguarding best practice.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with proven paediatric experience (schools, early-years or community children’s teams).</li>
<li>Confidence working autonomously</li>
<li>Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team</li>
<li>Enhanced DBS and up-to-date safeguarding.</li>
<li>Desirable: Sensory Integration training, EHCP report writing, Knowledge and experience of AAC</li>

<li>This is an Autism and complex needs setting (MLD secondary).</li>
<li>Deliver therapy sessions on an individual and group basis, adapting interventions to suit the needs of students.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.</li>
<li>Develop and implement communication strategies, including the use of AAC where appropriate.</li>
<li>Write reports and contribute to EHCP reviews.</li>
<li>Provide training and advice to school staff to help create a communication-friendly environment.</li>
<li>Be part of a speech and language therapy team and MDT.</li>

<h3>What We’re Looking For</h3>

<li>HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy.</li>

<p>To provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children with feeding, swallowing, and complex communication needs across community and clinic settings. The post holder will manage a complex caseload, support families and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to service development.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<h4>Clinical Responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Independently manage a specialist caseload of children with:
<ul>
<li>Dysphagia (feeding and swallowing difficulties)</li>
<li>Complex developmental needs (e.g. ASD, genetic conditions, neurological impairments)</li>
<li>Communication difficulties associated with complex needs</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Carry out comprehensive assessments in clinic, home, and community settings</li>
<li>Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans for feeding and communication</li>
<li>Provide risk assessments and management plans for dysphagia</li>
<li>Deliver therapy through:
<ul>
<li>Direct intervention</li>
<li>Parent/carer coaching</li>
<li>Training for school and care staff</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Monitor, evaluate, and adjust intervention plans based on outcomes</li>
<li>Work closely with dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, paediatricians, and education staff</li>
<li>Contribute to EHCPs, reports, and annual reviews</li>
<li>Attend and contribute to MDT meetings and case discussions</li>
<li>Provide specialist advice on feeding, nutrition, and communication strategies</li>
<li>Deliver training to:
<ul>
<li>Parents and carers</li>
<li>School and nursery staff</li>
<li>Support staff and wider professionals</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Provide clinical supervision and support to junior therapists, assistants, and students</li>
<li>Act as a source of expertise within feeding and complex needs</li>
</ul>
<h3>Essential Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Significant post-qualification experience (Band 6 or above)</li>
<li>Experience working with:
<ul>
<li>Paediatric feeding and dysphagia</li>
<li>Children with complex needs</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Experience across community and/or clinic settings</li>
</ul>

<h3>Role &amp; Responsibilities</h3>
<p>As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).</li>
<li>This is an Autism and complex needs setting (MLD secondary).</li>
<li>Deliver therapy sessions on an individual and group basis, adapting interventions to suit the needs of students.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.</li>
<li>Develop and implement communication strategies, including the use of AAC where appropriate.</li>
<li>Write reports and contribute to EHCP reviews.</li>
<li>Provide training and advice to school staff to help create a communication-friendly environment.</li>
<li>Be part of a speech and language therapy team and MDT.</li>
</ul>
<h3>What We’re Looking For</h3>
<ul>
<li>HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy.</li>
<li>Experience working in a special school setting or with children with complex communication needs.</li>
<li>Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience of AAC</li>
<li>Has a minimum of 2 years experience</li>
<li>Is passionate about working with children and young people in diverse educational and community settings</li>
<li>Brings energy, empathy, and curiosity to their work</li>
</ul>
